Description

Endemic to a small region adjacent to Bangkok. Destined for extinction in the wild due to development of its small habitat. Tolerant to water ranging from soft acidic to hard and brackish. 5-6 cm, not as aggressive as domestic bettas and can be kept in groups.

This is a species that likes it warm (above 78 F) Have bred them in soft water but water could be harder.

Species Spawned:   Yes

Temp- 78 F, Tank- 2.5 gal, TDS <40, fed a variety of live and frozen food.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

Very small, will eat infusoria. I made sure there were botanical and an abundance of hair algae to support microorganisms. Powdered fry food also used.
