Small sized species, active swimmer and males can be aggressive towards other males, but in a large colony, aggression is dispersed fairly well amongst the males. As this location gets older, the upper portion of the body gets a deep, dark red and the lower portion becomes blackish. Young individuals have a much wider range of brighter body colors, yellows, orange, even a little green.
